Interesting Jeff considering the things said in this thread. I am sure some
will recoil in horror, but for years when my '76 Caravanner was in it's high
(8400ft) off-grid New Mexico camp (every summer), I would attach a platform
to my rear bumper receiver hitch and load the 90lb. platform with a twin
cylinder Honda RV generator that weighed another 230lbs. I would use blocks
under the platform for extra support and I never moved the trailer with that
package on it. No damage was done in spite of it being a rear bath model,
and it was on there for months at a time. Following link is to a picture of
