[A/S] Ford's Brake Controller and Patti's New Trucks Window Tint
According to several people I have spoken with who got 2005 Ford
F250 SDs with the new brake controller option, it is the greatest
thing since sliced bread. It is progressive (truly progressive) and
really works well. That said, it is an expensive option - HOWEVER,
I am going to investigate the possibility of putting one in my 2004.
With the tint, Patti, I think one of the points was "If the truck
has a very dark tint, and you get the same on your cap, you will not
be able to see out." This happened to me with my 2002 F150. It had
limo tint on the back window and the cap I put on had limo tint. At
night, I could not see out the back of the truck unless there were
lights behind me. As I have driven larger vehicles, and learned to
use my mirrors, it wasn't so bad, but the inside rearview was
useless at night due to tint. If I had it to do again, I would get
a clear rear on the cap. As my new truck is presently in sport
mode, with a sliding tonneau cover and bed rails, it is not
presently a problem. I do think, tho, that the sliding tonneau is
gonna be a winter item and when summer towing, I am gonna get a
cap. Probably the A.R.E. MX Series that Hunter found for me. (they
don't make one for a long box Hunter)
