[A/S] Re: Wheels - Bearings - Brakes - general topic - related thread

Ben - I read that too. I tried to offer Tom a "general thinking" response
- as he went to troubleshoot his situation - and at the same time - talk
about the scenario in general - if others picked up on the thread.

Also - since Tom did not mention specifically that the bearings and hubs
were checked - that was my worry-wart side - just double checking. It only
makes sense they were - but with such a safety issue - I like to be double
sure rather than "assume".

Every so often we see where someone steps in on a thread at mid-point and
starts reading and they don't get the whole story - and since the threads
often deal with safety issues as in this thread - that is why I tried to
steer the thinking away from the "never" word. If a newbie sees the word
"never" - it concerns me - as I'd like them to remember that Murphy's Law
is always out there lurking around just waiting for over-confidence and
assumption to step in.

There are so many ways to learn from a great source like this newslist -
the person with the specific questions that writes in for help or a
shoulder to lean on while riding out a problem - and then the general
public who read along and occasionally make a note/learn of something
they'd not heard of before.

Best Wishes. RL
