Ben,
Yes, the hub turned before the spare was mounted.
Also they put something like grip tight on the lugs of
all six wheels. They did this because all of the lug
nuts were loose. Driving home Sunday I stopped to
check the lugs - I know they had been torqued and had
that stuff put on. There are about 5 lugs that move a
click. I say click because the turn was very little.
It makes me wonder if it was the nut turning or the
lug itself.
Regardless, the dealer says he has faith in his
untrained technician, and I told him I had more faith
in my attorney. We arrived at a consensus that I'd
bring in the trailer Thursday for them to inspect.
I've told them I want there assurance that my rig is
roadworthy enough to take it to another dealer for
repairs.
