Re: [A/S] Newbie needs advice

We did a lot of research and it paid off. Had never pulled any large
trailer before. Just my boat and tent trailer. We purchased a 1987 34'
Excella and had it towed to our home by the seller. Then I bought the
tow vehicle to give what I read would give the best performance for its
size and weight... a Ford F-350, 7.3 liter diesel. We didn't have any
major adjustment to living in the Airstream from May to late September
last year in the Pacific Northwest. Plenty of room and the trailer
towed beautifully. A few sites had a problem accomodating the 34' but
no biggie. Having a trailer directory and a cell phone gave us good
information. Doing a fair amount of research before traveling to the
next location really helps. We found that a cell phone with blue tooth
technology is a must for our trip to Alberta this year. Really would
have been handy last year.
