Re: [A/S] International

Greetings Hunter!

I believe that it is written somewhere in the literature for the
International Rallys that there will be one scheduled pump-out of
waste tanks for all attendees during the run of the Rally. I know
that there has been at least one "honey wagon" pump-out at each of
the International Rallys that I have attended. There was at least
one International where there was a second pump-out in the Vintage
area due to an overly early first pump (many of the Vintage coaches
have 8 gallon blackwater tanks with the majority being under 12
gallons).

I have always been cautious about having my Overlander pumped as
more than one owner of '64 and near Vintages have warned me that the
pumping operation has been known to collapse the tanks on these
coaches due to minimal venting as installed at the factory - - I was
advised to open the flush valve on the toilet during the pumping to
prevent pressure build-up - - thus far no problems (my tank was
modified with additional venting, but I am still inclined to take
the avenue of caution). Being a "creature of habit", I follow the
same procedure with my Minuet even though it has construction
approximating the modern coaches.
