Hi Indiana & Mary,

Ohhhh yes, it is very possible to live and travel in an Airstream. As 
you can imagine, what a life! You would find that those of us who do 
the fulltiming lifestyle are still in awe that we are so fortunate to 
have discovered this life on the road. Carl and I have an anniversary 
of 5 yrs. coming up Dec. 26 for being on the road. We had no idea how 
long we would enjoy this but at this point we still love it and have 
no idea of giving up fulltiming.

There are many styles of living on the road. Some do it part time by 
keeping their house and traveling part of the year. Others have 
no 'base' and travel year round. Others have no house but sit still 
in one place in their Airstream (or other RV brand) and travel part 
of the year. Now, travel 'year round' doesn't mean you are on the 
move every day or every week. It is too expensive even if fuel 
happened to be cheap.

Hunter shared the wonderful website for the RV Escapees club, 
www.escapees.com. It is a club for RV fulltiming including all the 
variations I mentioned above. It has a great magazine with articles 
for this lifestyle but just as important it is a network of other 
RVers living this lifestyle.

If you have been enjoying Hunter's Airstream List for long you will 
have noticed that this forum is the best place to get a feel for what 
Airstream 'you' might like. My suggestion is to buy a used 
inexpensive Airstream to find out what you like and dislike about 
that model. Then you can upgrade later.

Do you and Mary do things together a good portion of the time? Or do 
you each have your own things you do separately a good portion of 
your free time? It is important to enjoy being together 'a lot' 
<grin>.
