Duallies have lower tow rating because they eat more into the Combined 
vehicle weight ratings. They do that because of the extra weight of the wheels and 
tires. Crew cabs have a less rating because they weigh more than no cabs or 
extended cabs. Well, not *no* cabs... all trucks have cabs <g> 

The only reason to want a dually for towing is if you have a fifth wheel or a 
gooseneck putting the weight in the bed of the truck.

You don't need, nor probably want, a dually to tow any Airstream travel 
trailer ever made.
