Jack - A previous owner installed dual 6V golf cart batteries on the tongue of our '72 Overlander by welding up a small platform between the propane and front shell, then having a custom stainless box made to house the batteries. (This freed up the curbside rear battery compartment for fresh water gear.) I can take some pictures if it'll help. Stan
