I haven't tried a wireless start, but since you have to have power cables to
it why not a remote start cable also. My switch is mounted over my microwave
and ref.. and I have a long harness that goes down the back of the ref
compartment where I keep it rolled up when not in use. When needed, I get it
out and plug it in to my Onan generator which I keep by the tongue of my
trailer, hooked up to my propane tank for fuel. When it needs to run I just
push the start switch and when finished I push the stop. I don't hear the
generator while inside, so I don't see the need for yours to be several feet
away.
     I'm going to install mine in one of my back compartments in the near
future.
