Randy,
I wish I could help.  I have a Toshiba and it's on the left edge of the 
computer case.  There is also a sort of "tuning fork" symbol with a 
light on the top left margin of the keyboard area that lights up when 
the WiFi is connected.  The little slider switch is probably only about 
1/2" long and maybe 1/8" wide and it slides from on to off.  I think the 
reason they are required to put an on-off switch is that WiFi can 
interfere with hospital equipment, etc.
