[A/S] Window Trim Problem Solved

Hi Gang,

My 1996 trailer has the curved wrap around front windows with inside trim 
that curves with them.  The narrow strip of trim is "bumpy" with lots of grooves 
in it, for some unknown reason.  It looks like a strip of brain, for lack of a 
better description.

The problem is, over the years dirt has gotten into the grooves and not even 
a toothbrush will get it out.  So, the white strip is now a white strip with 
black grooves.  It's awful looking.  After hitting it with the strongest stuff 
I could find and it still looked awful, I took matters in my own hands and 
have fixed the problem, I hope permanently.

I went to Michaels and got a little bottle of Testors flat black paint.  
Testors is the paint that people who build models use. It's $1.29 a bottle. I also 
got a dozen paint brushes for $1.00.

So, for the princely sum of $2.29 plus tax, I have solved the problem.

I painted the trim black..... I chose black because the outside window is 
black there and it blends right in.  The results are terrific.  

Oh, and remember when I glued the headliner?  550 miles and a month has past 
and it's still holding.
