Jack,
That is probably true as it seems A/S is just recommending max tire pressure
on new trailers (based on others posts and what checking I have done so
far).  Years ago, A/S actually posted the required pressure to actually
support the gross weight of the trailer, but as you state, I suspect the
lawyers have been at work advising them of how to limit liability.
