[A/S] 79 Argo 29' Water build up in A/S , suggestions as to new or fix?

I found a repairman for my Argosy (FL) and the electric and plumbing are  
fixed.
 
Now my A/C is shutting off when I try to start it the second time in  our 
90's right now..  I turn it off after running an hour or two in AM  .  It does 
seem built up with condensation, water drips out of the  corner so I took out a 
corner screw out.
 
It shuts down the breaker when I try to start it a second time during  the 
day.
The electrician found and fixed a burned section of wiring right inside the  
AC going to the other side of the trailer.
 
Does this mean I have to replace the AC?. Fridge wiring was so messed up it  
has to go too, my iron an hair dryer had to be replaced!
 
What is the usual price of a AC replacement?
 
Before Sun RV disappeared the repairperson there said the Airconditioners  in 
my 79 could be rebuilt.  He however must be in Datona renting out cars  and 
trailers at races.
 
Which costs more?
