Yes... I could not help but think "I sold a 23' two axle 1978 Safari 
that was a lot closer to perfect (my definition) for $7K"!! ... The 
new owner was comparing it with his smaller trailer which was lacking 
just about all the facilities...

I guess I am assuming basecamp will not have airconditioning, shower, 
potty, or the other amenities (Queen bed and hangup storage) that 
caused me to go to a 32' Airstream from the 23'Safari...We also have a 
"room" that snaps to the ZipDee that we have never set up...I think 
the Texas winds would eat it..

We can live for 3 Months in the 32' with ease and a number of others 
full time with shorter units...

The market for the basecamp must be people that want to tow with a 
small car and not too price concious.. ( We looked at crank-ups a few 
years ago that were $14K, but they had just about everything )

It sort of reminds me of the Chuckwagon or Teardrop trailer of the 
40's..  I am assuming that Airstream will follow their policy of 
building what is already sold and the market will determine the 
success of the new concept...If the dealers are the only ones who buy 
any, it's over...
