[A/S] Extendable towing mirrors; trailer re-furbish
Charlie Burke - nice to meet you at the International at Hunter's GTG...I did order
the extendable OEM towing mirrors for my '99 Suburban...painful install, since GM
uses three mounting screws, to be accessed through a triangular hole smaller than
the triagle that the bolts are set on...however it got done, and we love them.
Both mirrors are flat, but they come with "Hot Spots," nice large paste-on convex
mirrors, that work really well.
I have also a set of McKesh mirrors - wonderful mirrors, IMO. However, Jane and I
swap off driving duties about every 100 miles, and the McKesh mirrors have to be
re-adjusted at each change...a real pain. Anyhow, we are very happy with the new
mirrors, although they are so big they make the 'Burb look something like Mickey
Mouse.
We're in Louisville, KY, right now, while Arlene Fowler (over near Padukah) is
re-furbishing the interior of our '95 Airstream - new carpet, new uphostlery for
the couch, chair, and soffits, new drapes, and mini-blinds to replace the
un-reliable pull-down shades. I have "before" pictures, and will make "after" ones
for my web site as soon as I can.
