[A/S] Freezer door not staying closed

After 35 years, the springs in my Dometic frig are not holding the 
freezer door closed.  While checking it, I realized that one of the 
springs looks like it isn't attached correctly. It has a small loop 
in the middle of the spring outside/under the freezer that appears 
to not be hooked on whatever it should be.......... Am I  making 
sense???? LOL Any ideas anyone?
