Joan. There isn't any problem backing up with there Reese dual cam. 
The only time you need to take the bars off when you back up is when 
you are parking in a space where the TT & tow vehicle aren't in 
close to a straight line when you are unkooking. You can't get the 
bars off if the two aren't close to straight. I have only had to 
take the bars off maybe 5 to 10 times in 12 years.
