My favorite antenna for field day is the Airstream Loop as described 
in March 1969 QST. It not only is unobtrusive, light and quick to 
erect, small and stores in a small grocery sack but is also quite 
effective; competing with a home QTH dipole at 20' according to the 
author, Phil Rand W1DBM.

I don't know if there is an archive of QST or not, but you will be 
quick to spot that issue as it is the cover story with an Airstream 
close-up in the picture.

I have moved my residence recently and still have not unpacked my 
books, so if there is an interest it may take a few days for me to 
retrieve that issue. I  will continue the discussion off list (as it 
is boring to non-hams).
