RE: [A/S] Hunter

Hi Hunter,
I have noticed that I get some odor from my holding tank when I flush the
toilet the first couple of times after the trailer has been in storage. I
figured out the odor gets in the trailer by going out the air vent pipe from
the tank, and comes in the ceiling vent that is open in the bathroom close
to the vent pipe. I realized this when I got no odor one time after a long
storage period, and realized the vent was closed. I opened the vent like we
normally do and flushed the toilet again. In came the odor!!! I now flush
the toilet a couple of times at the first stop before opening the vent in
the ceiling. I guess the water rushing into the toilet forces the bad air up
the vent pipe on the first couple of flushes. We never have a problem after
that first couple of flushes, nor when we stay on the road for 3 or 4
months. We use some "Magic Stuff" we purchased from a couple at the
International in Sioux Falls in 2001. It only takes a bottle cap full for
the holding tank, and it works the best of any of the "Magic Stuff" we have
tried over the passed 35 years of messing with holding tanks. I would tell
you the name,
but it is in the trailer in the storage lot at the present time.

Happy smells,
