[A/S] Good Sam Road service

We just want to let those of you who are considering Good Sam Emergency
Road Service, know just how good the service is that we have received.
Most times we do our own repairs when we can, but have twice in our
travels had some serious situations that Good Sam pulled us out of in a
very positive manner.
This morning as Conrad started to change the oil and filter on our '96
Burb, the one we use to tow the Limited, he saw that there was a flat
tire on the right rear. He used our new 110 volt portable air inflator
to pump up the tire. It worked great, but the tire wouldn't hold the
air and he discovered a slit in the valve stem. He said he didn't want
to take off the tire and drive into town in the older Burb to get it
fixed, and didn't think he could make it to town the way it was. I
suggested he first try that, taking the cell phone with him and call me
if he didn't make it, so I would go after him with the older Burb. Then
we talked about tow service, and didn't want to do that. Then the light
bulb blinked on and we both thought about calling Good Sam. They took
care of it, asked if we had a spare, they called a service in town to
come out and change the tire. Done in less than 1/2 hour from the time
we called and during lunch hour!
Tomorrow we'll go to town and have all the valve stems changed and put
the tire back on the right rear. We had just had Midas rotate them last
week.
Good Sam took good care of us again.
