Another excellent, true proportional controller is made by MasterBrake.
The unit senses the tow vehicle brake application thru a solid state
sensor mounted to the brake master cylinder.  This provides every
advantage of the Jordon without the mechanical linkage.  Hensley Mfg
also sells a private labeled version of the same controller.  If you
check out the website at www.masterbrake.com, you will find the info for
the BrakeSmart Controller.  BTW, you MUST order both the controller and
the "wiring harness" as the controller does NOT include the pressure
transducer and wiring between the transducer and the controller (those
are in the wiring harness kit).  Hensley packages theirs together and
charges about $75 more than directly from the manufacturer (ie
MasterBrake).  They are identical units, except Hensley's case is their
"famous" orange.  You have a variety of color choices from MasterBrake.


Should my Jordon ever die, I will very tempted to switch to the
MasterBrake as the pressure transducer design is simplier and should be
more reliable than the mechanical cable design of the Jordon.
