Hi Noah,

I know what you mean about the cost of staying in the Keys. Even if you get 
a good deal on the camp, which is tough, the food and entertainment, even 
fishing, is high. Ha Ha  I am fortunate enough to have a brother that is a 
retired marine. He and his wife and my wife and I stayed on the navy base 
in Key West. Every year during winter the navy base has a few hundred 
visitors from up north and they just locate you on a good spot on the grass 
and let you stay for $9 a night. There are hours that you can run your 
<85dB generators, and there are a few toilets and showers. They also have a 
dump and fresh water available for your usage.

I have a fifth wheel Airstream and I have made a few adjustments for boon 
docking. I have a blue wagon as most folks do to empty the tanks and haul 
to the dump. I also have a 30 gallon plastic barrel that was used for food 
products before I added a pump and faucet to it myself. I fill it with 
fresh water and haul to the trailer and use a small 12VDC lawn mower 
battery to pump water from the barrel to the squarestream. I also purchased 
two EU2000i Honda generators and a parallel kit so that I can run an air 
conditioner when needed and the Hondas also have separate battery chargers 
built in. So, if I don't need to run the generators for inside stuff such 
as air, I run one generator to recharge the house batteries. It all worked 
out well and we sure enjoyed the trip.

Good luck on getting set up for boon docking, it sure adds some options for 
inexpensive RVing.
