Re: [A/S] Re: airstream polishing

Hi ,
I would try any scotch brights on a small , out of sight place , even
the micro-fine scotch brights will scuff the aluminium and be next to
impossible to polish out. The aluminium alclad is soft stuff .
I use Napier Environmental Technologies stripper made for clearcoat
removal called SV-35 . Made for aluminium aircraft repair , pricey but very
effective and goes a long way . Spray, brush or roll it on and hose it off
with water. Try not to let it dry , its a timing thing letting it soften
enough , I used a squeegie to get it off in one pass . The streaks of goo are
harder to get off the second time .
Environmentally safe, non toxic and really works well. Available from
Aircraft Spruce Company.
