The guy is right, the ground wire is really not necessary. I run mine 
most all the time without one. (using tools and one thing plugged in 
at a time)  When you plug in your trailer you are electrifying the 
whole thing (trailer) even though you are using only a light or two, 
and the TV stuff. This is when I would ground it for a piece of mind. 
The ground doesn't have to be heavy or sunk into the dirt 8 ft like 
your home, it just doesn't have the kind of amps that require that. A 
light gauge piece of wire attached to a spike that you can push or 
hammer into the dirt is plenty. Take the little fella with ya they 
are handy. Pushing in a spike for a ground is easier than cranking up 
the dish for TV.  Are you going to be in the generator section now?
