Sue and John,

As mentioned already, it sounds like a Sovereign (30').  Keep in mind that
vintage trailers tend to be "cheaper by the foot"  (phrase stolen from
another lister).  A larger vintage trailer will almost always sell for less
than a smaller trailer of the same condition and vintage.  There just isn't
the same demand for the longer trailers that there is for the really short
ones.  Don't let the seller convince you that "bigger" means "worth more".
The longer trailers present a huge value.  If the seller won't commit to a
price, give a very low offer. You can play dumb even when you're not.  You
never know what might happen.   Of course, if the seller reads this list...

 If the trailer is in really good condition, start at maybe $2K.  You might
just get a great deal.. At least you will get an answer, and probably a
better idea of what the seller wants for it.  He wants you to make an offer
because he doesn't know what it's worth and he's hoping you don't either.
By giving him the lower offer, you are in essence telling him what it's
worth to you.  You can always go up from there, but you can never go back
down again.

Don't forget to point out what's wrong with it or what needs to be fixed or
replaced.  This will justify your lower offer.
