I wore a blue beret back about 30 years ago. My Mom and Dad joined 
the WBCCI back in the early 70's.
My Dad wore his, my brothers' wore theirs and I wore mine with pride.
The blue beret may seem stupid but so would the Boy Scout scarf if 
you wore it for everyday use.
When I get the chance I will don the beret again. I will not be 
wearing it to the mall but I will proudly wear it at any rally or 
caravan that me and my family attends.
Good ole' Wally wore his.
Traditions in this day and age are easily disposed and it is 
disturbing to me. I may be 37 but I can see how important traditions 
can be to the survival of a group of people.
Just my two and a half cents.
