Jim,
I'm not a member of the WBBCI and therefore can's comment on anything 
regarding the International.  There are people who feel more comfortable 
with the AC running while being powered by a generator and there are those 
who need the AC because heat can be pretty mean to us as we grow older.  I'm 
53 now but at 51 I was miserable on one of my first outings due to an 
electrical problem.  It was 94 outside and around 104 inside.  Needless to 
say, I spent most of the day outside under trees or on the river fishing.  A 
box fan loaned to me by one of my friends cooled the trailer down at night 
but it was still warm.

Go to the International and don't worry about how others view generators.  
I've considered buying one no matter what my previous feelings about 
generators have been because my body is not handling the heat as well as it 
use to.  Besides that, why would you let someone elses bias about generators 
dictate what you really want to do and that is attend.
