It's not just the noise Jim.  It's also the fumes.  I happen to agree with
segregating the generators.  If it is hot your neighbor will have open
windows which will let in the carbon monoxide exhaust gases.  I actually had
this happen to me in the generator section in the Huntsville, AL rally.  My
CO detector went off and I moved my Motor Home so that the gases where
coming behind my rig.  Created quite a controversy since I was no longer in
the famous "Wally Byam Line" and on the red dot.  At least in the generator
section almost everyone will have their windows closed.  Also many of us
bring extra exhaust systems to put the gases above the rigs.
I have no objection to pets being anywhere unless they are disturbing the
neighbors by barking or not being cleaned up after.  If campers would follow
the golden rule then their would be no need to segregate dogs.  What about a
talking bird?  We have one in our unit (MAU).
