Thanks for the response eon my Univolt and tire questions. This kind of help 
is exactly why these lists are so great!
I will spring for the radial tires as I prefer them if there is no logical 
reason to avoid them. I HOPE that I don't have split rims, but if splits are 
properly installed, they are probably safe, aren't they. Probably only dangerous 
in mounting and dismounting, which I will allow the tire guys to do in a 
safety cage.
As far as the Univolt goes, I suspect that you are correct, but I have 
checked all of the Univolt fuses, and coach circuit breakers and they are all fine, 
so the Univolt is probably suspect, but why would the 12 volt stuff come on 
sometimes, and then shut off as though a breaker had tripped, but comes back on 
without any manual reset? Also wouldn't a freshly charged coach battery allow 
the 12v accessories to work even if the Univolt was defective, until the 
battery ran dead? I feel as though there is a lack of continuity from the coach 
battery to the Univolt or to the coach, like a fuse, or fusible link or 
something, but I can't find any additional circuit protection devices, and I can't 
explain, why it sometimes works.
Are the Univolts available to purchase and replace, and how expensive are 
they? Is there a suitable alternative?
