We tow with a 1999 Suburban 2500 with a 454 gasoline engine and love it.  It 
tows our 1978 28 footer like it was not there.  We traveled from Ohio to 
Montana, Wyoming, etc. last summer and it handled the mountains like a dream. 
I highly recommend them.  Some 2500's came with a 350 engine and I would stay 
away from that.  Get the 454 gas engine or a diesel.
