[A/S] upping the load rating is not necessarily the best?? (was :tires)
I could theoretically agree that upping the load rating of tires
could cause a longer trailer to experience more frame stress while
moving down the highway, BUT we all must remember that the original
tires on our 1970s Airstreams were bias ply, which rode a lot rougher
than a D or E rating radial ever could (I would think). I am not
saying anyone is incorrect on this, just throwing in another
thought. Anyone think up a formula to for instance compare the
resilience of an E rated ST225 radial to a bias ply 700 tire?
