Okay, that makes more sense.  Also, seems I remember that the BIG
problem with the Touareg was not its torque, horsepower, wheelbase, BUT
rather the fact that the factory receiver was NOT upto the job of towing
a large trailer and that VW was threatening to void warranties if
aftermarket receivers were installed.  It seems from the article in RV
LifeStyle (at least what I could read on their online site), that a VW
dealer did an aftermarket install of the receiver for the article.  I
wonder if VW has either upgraded their receiver or sanctioned one or
more third party receivers OR did the dealer just damn the torpedoes and
install one even with the threat of voiding the warranty.
