  Hi.  forgot to mention in an earlier post that I carry a Handi Talki, the
Kenwood, and a magnet mount antenna that goes on top of the truck, wire in
the through the wind window.  It works great and since I am not into having
an antenna farm on the roof it is very satisfying.  Nice think about it is
that in places where the cell phone is deader than a door stop, it still
works.  You can always carry more antenna in the back of the truck to put up
if you want.  I am curious.  Are there A/S groups that do Ham field events?
