[A/S] S-Video Cable Question
Hi Folks,
My daughter has provided me a problem I have not solved and I need help. We
use Satellite TV at home and on the road. We also want to use a DVD player
with the same TV. Both the Satellite TV box and the DVD player have S-Video
connections to hook them to the TV. The TV has only one S-Video receptacle.
That doesn't sound like to big of a problem, I will just go down to Radio
Shack and get a S-Video combiner or a S-Video A/B switch box. We ham radio
operators have a saying about Radio Shack. You know their motto "you got
questions, we have answers"? Hams say their motto is really "you got
questions, we have blank stares". That is exactly what I got at my local
Radio Shack. They say there is no such thing for S-Video.
So the question to the group is how do you use the much preferred S-Video
from two sources to the TV with only one receptacle???? Of course, S-Video
is supposed to be much better video than the composite video that you get
over a coax, that is why everyone is going to the S-Video hookups.
Thanks for your help,
George
