In the early and mid-70s we traveled with three children in a 31 ft. 
Airstream.  It has a frount couch and middle twins.  We used a portable cot up front 
for the extra sleeping space.  It worked out great.  We now have a 26 ft. 
Airstream (just the two of us) and it would be too small for five of us on a rainy 
day.
