We have a Dirt Devil that is great for getting underneath the furniture and 
behind things, we also had a rechargeable vaccum cleaner that was nice, but 
finally bought a regular upright at a garage sale for $10 as it really helped in 
picking up the fine gravel and dust from the dogs and me.  

We use are unit quite a bit, as a parked cabin on our farm, so we do a vaccum 
at least once a weekend just prior to leaving, and if staying for any period 
of time, more often.
