The ratings are:
Trailer Wt  12,500
Tongue Wt    1,250

It has a Ford label on it.  I'll try to describe what
the attachment looks like.  There are 2 metal plates
that extend down from the frame and are triangular in
shape.  Each plate seems to have a square shaped hole
in it.  The hitch's cross beam ?? goes through these
square holes.  Looking on the outside of the holes
there appears to be welds.  This could be hard putty,
caulking, or any other substance for what I know.  I
jabbed at it with a screw driver and nothing came off
of it.  Alls I know is that it seems to be secure, and
that there are no metal straps bolted to anything.  So
I guess it's ok.

Oh, its a 2002 F250 that I ordered with a towing
package.
