[A/S] Couch Drawer Question

Hi Gang,

I've had another brainstorm..... I have the couch with the really big drawer 
under it. 

Since I put a computer desk in front of it I've been unable to open the 
drawer unless I move the  computer deak, a real pain in the neck.

I had an idea to cut the drawer so the open part opened and the part behind 
the computer desk would stay put, but there's a track problem.

So today the newest brainstorm.... simply remove the drawer entirely.... then 
I can slip boxes under the couch for storage......  it won't show because I 
have a comforter covering the couch right down to the floor.

So, the question is.... is there any reason not to do this? I assume the 
couch won't fall apart as the drawer obviously isn't structural......
