Re: [A/S] Suburban Furnace replacement question

David, this is a reply I got from Art Klee at SUBURBAN last year when I
inquired about replacing/repairing my NT32A.

"The NT-32A furnace is no longer available and parts are no long available
either. However, you can install a NT-30SP or NT-34SP model to replace your
unit. These furnaces are not as tall, but you can raise them up a little to
get
the vent holes to match up. We also have kits available to assist with this
for
some models.

You can get pricing information from a local RV dealer in your area."

Also received the following information from Chris Bryant.

"The new Suburbans do come with a bottom discharge cutout- though you do
need to buy a "bottom discharge adapter kit"- which really just consists
of 4 covers for the round outlets and a fiberglass gasket.
The biggest problem with doing this is the new model is smaller and in
order to make the exterior vent holes line up, you need to raise the
furnace a bit. This is not hard to do (IIRC, a couple of 2x2s topped by
a 3/8" piece of plywood is just about right) but you will have to
fabricate an extension for the duct."

I hope this helps
