[A/S] Hitch and Receiver Replacement

Well my '04 30' Classic S.O. is coming in heavier than
the 2003 specs stated so it looks like I'm going to
have to replace my factory receiver on my new van and
upgrade my Reese hitch dual-cam sway control and
spring bars. Since some of the hitch components are
nearing 22 years old, it may be time to upgrade.

I have considered the Equal-i-zer product, which my
dealer recommends, or a new Reese dual-cam (using the
new model which elminates the U-clamps).

Bottom line hitch weight on the Classic will come in
around 1,150 lbs. which puts us pretty close to
Equal-i-zer limitations. I can go to the 1,500 Titan
receiver and hitch components with the Reese.

At this point I don't think there is any choice but to
go with the Reese, but I'm entertaining reasons why
the Equal-i-zer might still be the way to go.

Anyone have any thoughts on my feelings at this point?

Regards,

Jack
