[A/S] AC not Working

My Coleman roof AC unit has not worked at all for me this trip south annd I 
am looking for any tips in case I might be overlooking something.  I don't want 
to put any $ into it since it is original in my 1987, and am about ready to 
have a new one installed.
Here are the symptoms:
1. The fan works, but no cold air comes out.
2.  I am assuming there is no cold air because the compressor doesn't come on 
(or at least it doesn't sound like it comes on.)
4.  I thought there was a heat strip in the unit too and could have used it 
on the Michigan Lighthouse Caravan.  However, no heat came out when I set it on 
HEAT. Just the fan kept blowing.
3. It worked fine this summer, although once the fan was hitting the shroud 
and I had to climb onto the roof to slightly adjust the location of the fan 
motor.
