Dan,
The material is anodized while in its stock form before it is fabricated
into a trailer. There are some faux anodizing stains/paints out there but
true anodizing requires submersion in various chemical tanks much like
chrome plating. The rivets can even be anodized before bucking. These days
there all kinds of wild colors that can be anodized.
