I don't know how the macerator pump hooks up for sure, but I have the 
Sewer Solution and it works great. I run an 1"  pvc pipe out through 
the basement wall and tied it into the clean out on the sewer drain. 
I now can dump my holding tanks at home. The more water pressure you 
have the better it will work. It works great at campgrounds also. The 
advantage of the macerator pump is that works on 12 volt and not 
water power. there used to be a company that made a unit called the 
poop-out pump,but I could not find it on the net. At one time it was 
advertised in the Blue Beret, but I don't know if it still is or not. 
It was made up from a macerator pump and if I remember it hooked up 
in the same fashion as the sewer solution. All I know is the sewer 
solution works very well. Richard in Southwest
