The seam I am most worried about , after the pull down tab, is the seam 
that runs across the top that keeps the awning in the track.  If that 
lets go, I'm afraid it will be like letting a window shade go, and it 
might actually be dangerous.....

Dap contact cement is great, although I prefer the latex based because 
of the noxious fumes, and because it is less likely to attack synthetic 
materials.
