Jackson Center Tour

We arrived in Jackson Center on Friday around noon and took the tour that 
afternoon. It was very interesting. Our guide had been with Airstream since the 
late 50's and was quite knowledgeable. There were 13 people on the tour - 
one guy we talked to had a vintage unit, was on the vintage list as well as this 
one, but had never posted on either.

We were surprised to learn that Airstream only employs about 400 people. 
They had a SkyDeck on the lot and we were able to go inside. They also had the 
Class C they replaced the B-Van with. An interesting story. They found that 
it was cost prohibitive to build it because of the one-piece molded fiberglass 
body, so they only make one. Our guide said he thought it was sold. Sticker 
price in the vicinity of $104,000.
