Hi James

In the 60's Chrysler's were the tow vehicle of choice for many.  The 
first Airstream tow vehicle our family had was a 1966 Newport with a 
383 2 barrel.  The leaf springs and unit body gave it better handling 
than the GM or Fords of the day.  It will need a transmission cooler 
and you will have to find someone to fabricate a hitch for it.  First 
thing would be to make sure it is rust free.  Unit bodies are fine to 
put hitches on but not if they are all rusted out but I imagine it is 
a creampuf or you would not be considering it.  If you cannot find 
anyone closer we could fabricate the hitch here.   

A set of gas charged shocks and some 215/75R x 15"LT tires would work 
well. I seem to remember they needed an extra leaf added to the rear 
springs at about 60,000 miles, the front was torsion bar so you can 
just wind them up if need be.
