Hi James

I have a 66 Chrysler Newport with the 383.
I pulled a 30 foot Prowler a few years back from San Diego, to Zion, Bryce 
and Lake Powell and The Grand Canyon.
The car has plenty of power and an after market hitch worked well.
The on concern I had was the all Drum Brake off one Cylinder.
I believ you have front Disc. If so you should be fine to pull it with that 
car.
