Back in those days at the RV dealer I worked at, we custom-built 
hitches for those big cars, starting with a 2" receiver tube, using 
very heavy angle iron and box tube.  They were welded to the frame.  
Since the cars back then didn't have split master brake cylinders, we 
used hydraulic brake controllers T'ed into the line going from the 
master cylinder to the distribution block.  Worked great.

You may have to have a custom hitch built for a vehicle that old.
