Ray & Anne,

Is it possible that you do not have the bypass opened
correctly.  I remember dealing with a problem from
someone else who swore that they had the bypass closed
off correctly.  Obviously if you are sure the valves
are set correctly then the problem lies elsewhere but
you need to check that the valves are set correctly. 
It only takes one turned the wrong way to cause your
problem.
